Drew Morell has been involved in music education, specifically jazz education, since 1983. His passion for teaching has led him to working as a clinician all over Colorado, including Denver Public Schools, Cherry Creek Schools, and the Evergreen Council for the Arts.
Drew has owned his teaching studio Infinity Music since 1993, and has been a professor at the University of Colorado at Denver since 1998. In 2001 he was awarded honorarium teacher of the year.
Drew has helped many students become accepted at major music schools, such as Oberlin Conservatory, New School in Manhattan, Loyola in New Orleans and University of Miami, among others. Most of his students are scholarship winners and have gone on to successful careers in music education and performance.
As a lecturer and clinician, Drew has traveled to California, Texas, New Mexico, and Wyoming. He also has been on staff for the CU Boulder Mile High Jazz Camp, and was director of the Telluride Jazz Camp for Kids for seven years.
